ABOUT ME
It’s strange to think that my weird obsession with Louis Theroux documentaries is what sparked my passion for journalism, but it’s true.
Watching Theroux go into wacky outsider groups to investigate the goings-on there is something I found really interesting. When I realised “Hey, what he’s doing is actually a career”, I knew that was something I had to get into.
I love to explore different stories and report on them, but right now my real passion is investigating food.
I’m always eating out at crazy restaurants, such as one where I had to eat in the dark and another where my food came down on a mini rollercoaster, and I found that I really enjoyed reviewing these places.
Sunday roast dinners with my family, ice cream on the beach with my friends and crying into a tub of Ben and Jerry's after a particularly difficult day. All my most treasured memories focus around one factor: Food.
Right now, I’m currently studying Journalism at the University of Portsmouth, where I do a lot of writing, a lot of drinking and a hell of a lot of Deliveroo ordering.
I. Just. Can’t. Help. Myself.
I was nervous to move away from my tiny town of Sittingbourne, Kent (which is said to house the smallest road with the greatest number of speed bumps in the UK)- but learning more about the craft I want to create a career from has been something I’m so happy to have gone for.
So, this page is for writing all the things I want to write about, researching and investigating different news stories and trying out different techniques.
This page is for writing about food as much as is humanly possible.
